Switching

Switch to Servato without starting over

Export from your current system, drop the files in, and Servato maps the columns for you. Keep working in both tools until you trust the move — then cancel the old one.

Exactly what comes over

No surprises — this is what the importers bring in today, and what they don't.

From your old systemLands in Servato as
CustomersContacts with name, company, email, phone, address, source, and notes.
Leads / open dealsPipeline leads with title, value, stage, notes, and a link to the matching contact.
JobsJobs with address, type, budget, status, start and end dates, and the linked contact.
EstimatesEstimate records with number, status, total, issue date, and linked contact.

Document level — the totals and status, not the individual line items.

InvoicesInvoice records with number, status, total, amount paid, due date, and linked contact.

Document level — balances carry over; line items do not.

Price bookLabor, equipment, subcontractor, and material rates via CSV — so estimates price the way you actually price.

How the switch works

1

Export from your current tool

Servato has step-by-step export guides for 15+ field-service, landscaping, and estimating systems — and a generic path for anything else. Any CSV or spreadsheet export works.

2

Drop the file in, AI maps the columns

Upload each export. Servato recognizes common column names automatically, and an AI pass matches the rest to Servato's fields. You review the mapping before anything is saved.

3

Run both for a week, then cut over

Send a couple of estimates and an invoice from Servato while your old tool is still live. When it feels right, cancel the old subscription. Most shops cut over inside 14 days.

Coming from a standalone takeoff tool?

Measure inside Servato instead

Servato's measure tool works from satellite imagery, a job-site photo, or a plan PDF: draw areas, lines, circles, and counts, add a roof-pitch or slope factor, and the quantities flow straight into an estimate priced from your own price book. There's nothing to migrate — you just start measuring here.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to clean up my export first?

No. Column names don't have to match — Servato recognizes common headers and the AI mapping handles the rest. Rows with problems are shown to you before import, so nothing bad slips in silently.

Will my estimate and invoice line items come over?

Not today. Estimates and invoices import at the document level: number, status, totals, amount paid, dates, and the linked customer. Your history and open balances carry over; individual line items stay in the old system's PDFs.

What about recurring services, schedules, or photos?

Those aren't part of the importers yet. Bring customers, jobs, and your price book first, then rebuild recurring visits in Servato's scheduler — it takes minutes, not days. If you need something imported that isn't listed, tell us at support@servato.app.

How long does the switch take?

Signing up takes about two minutes. Most teams finish importing on day one and run both systems side by side for a week or two before canceling the old one.

Does it cost anything?

The importers are included on every plan, and help by email is free. The 30-day trial needs no card, and you can cancel anytime.

Prefer to email it? Send the file to onboarding@servato.app.

Attach the CSV or spreadsheet — customers, price book, jobs, estimates, invoices — and send it from the address you sign in with. The automated concierge matches it to your workspace, stages it privately, proposes the column mapping, and replies in your language; nothing is imported until you confirm it in the importer. Free, on every plan.
