1. What we collect
We collect information in three categories:
- Account Data: When you create an account, you provide your name, email address, and password. If you upgrade to a paid plan, we receive billing information (such as the last four digits of your card and expiration date) from our payment processor, Stripe.
- Workspace Content: You and your teammates may upload files, plans, client information, estimates, invoices, and other data related to your business ("Workspace Content").
- Usage Data: We collect technical information about how you interact with the Service, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and features used.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Communicate with you about your account and service updates.
- Process payments and manage subscriptions.
- Provide customer support.
- Monitor for and prevent security incidents and fraudulent activity.
We do not use your Workspace Content to train AI models without your explicit opt-in. Your business data is yours.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- With Your Consent: With teammates you invite into your workspace or clients you grant access to via portal links.
- With Our Service Providers: We use third-party service providers (sub-processors) to operate the Service. These providers are contractually bound to protect your information and are prohibited from using it for any other purpose. Our providers include services for hosting, databases, email delivery, payment processing (Stripe), AI functionality, and analytics. A current list of our major sub-processors is available upon request.
- For Legal Reasons: We may share information if we believe disclosure is required by law, to protect the rights, safety, or property of Servato or others, or to respond to a valid legal process.
4. Data security and retention
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information. We retain your Workspace Content for as long as your account is active and for a limited period of 30 days after termination, during which you may export it. We may retain Account Data and Usage Data for longer periods for billing, security, and analytical purposes.
5. Cookies and tracking
We use first-party cookies to keep you logged in and to understand how you use the Service so we can improve it. We do not use third-party cookies for advertising.
6. Your rights and choices
You have control over your personal information. Workspace owners can access, modify, and export their full workspace at any time from the account settings.
Depending on your location, you may have additional legal rights. As a Florida-based company, we extend the rights granted under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights to all our U.S. users. These rights include:
- The right to access and confirm what personal data we have collected about you.
- The right to correct inaccuracies in your personal data.
- The right to delete personal data provided by you or obtained about you.
- The right to obtain a copy of your personal data in a portable format.
- The right to opt out of the processing of personal data for purposes of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
While Servato does not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising, we recognize your right to make these choices. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@servato.app. We will respond to verifiable requests within 45 days.
7. Children's privacy
The Service is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
