Is the satellite measuring tool an extra charge?
Every plan includes a monthly allowance of manual measurements and AI property scans — the exact counts are on the pricing page. Past the allowance you pay a small per-measure or per-scan overage, or buy a prepaid AI scan pack. Measuring over job photos and plan PDFs uses the same tools. AI plan takeoffs from full PDF sets are priced per project.
How accurate are satellite measurements?
Quantities are computed from the map's real-world scale at your zoom level, so accuracy depends on how closely you trace the edge. Roof pitch and facets from the AI scan are planes fitted to public USGS lidar, which may be years old and is only available where coverage exists; the report shows the dataset, density, and capture date, and the crew's on-site pitch reading can replace it. Everything is an estimate — not a land survey, legal boundary, or insurance- or permit-grade document. Field-verify before ordering materials.
Can I measure curved beds or round features?
Yes. Trace curves by dropping points along the edge, or use the circle tool for round features — it shows radius, diameter, and area as you drag.
Does it outline areas for me?
On a satellite session, turn on AI outline and tap a lawn or roof — Servato traces the edge it can see in the imagery, usually in a few seconds, and you can drag any point afterwards. It's a head start, not a survey: check the edge, and hand-trace anything it can't separate (shaded or mixed surfaces) — it tells you when it couldn't find a shape rather than guessing.
Does it work in Spanish?
Yes. The measure tool, layer panel, and the exported PDF are fully bilingual — each user picks their language.
